Red River flood in 2015 - downtown Shreveport, LA

Thousands of photographs were taken during the days of the 2015 Red River flood. I wanted to see how the energy of the flood changed at night. I was on top of the Horseshoe Casino boat at the height of the flood.

This is the Red River at Shreveport, Louisiana on June 10, 2015. Major flood stage is at 33 feet. On this day it was over 37 feet. On the right side of the photograph is Bossier City, Louisiana. On the left side is Shreveport. The tufts of dark that you see on the left side in the water are actually tall trees along the edge of the river.
